Canadian, Eh?

Having the time to explore more in depth all the classics with our kids has been simplified this summer thanks to Netflix. Making the connection to the reality that the majority of what we have been watching is Canadian, priceless.

For the boys, it has been all about viewing the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid‘ films, with the latest release, ‘Dog Days,’ being their current favourite. This along side the witty series, ‘Some Assembly Required,’ and ‘The Magic School Bus,’ our summer nights have been driven by fun, insightful and educational programming.

Evenings for us have subconsciously been filled with the same common thread – Canadian actors.  Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams and Joshua Jackson have been dominating the screen. Our top picks are The Ides of March, About Time and One Week. Intrigue, intense emotion and romance make any night a good night.
